Your story is still being written, let’s find out where it goes next.
Catherine believes therapy is, in many ways, a place to become a better storyteller about your own life: understanding your story up to this point, learning to tell the story differently, and ultimately becoming the author of how the story unfolds ahead. She has found that as people grow more fluent in telling their own story, feelings of overwhelm, confusion, or being stuck often start to loosen, then inspiration and flow can resume.
Catherine's story is a winding tale still being written. Before training to become a psychologist, she worked for a decade in the arts as a master craftsperson, author, and international lecturer. She also had a career in cultural diplomacy. With breadth and depth of life experience, Catherine has cultivated an authentic attitude of curiosity, creativity, and collaboration which she now brings into the therapy setting.
Catherine is a mother of two. She was born in San Francisco, CA, grew up in Tucson, AZ, and currently resides in Boulder, CO, where she enjoys exploring mountain wilderness, trails, and streams. She remains active in citizen diplomacy in her community by volunteering and consulting for Boulder Council for International Visitors. Catherine maintains creative practices in writing, drawing, dreaming, meditation, and movement.

Catherine’s Approach
Her approach is rooted in depth psychology, with training in several evidence-based practices, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. She has also trained in Hakomi Mindful Somatic Psychotherapy and Pain Reprocessing Therapy — approaches that pay close attention to how the body holds onto experiences and stories, not just the mind. Drawing on her background as an artist and writer, she often incorporates narrative work, dream exploration, and visualizations into sessions as well.
Catherine’s work begins with warmth, acceptance, and building a relationship you can trust. A safe and confidential container that makes it possible to explore private, painful, or vulnerable parts of your life.
Often, therapy begins by looking backward first: understanding early relationships and family dynamics that shaped who you have become. But the goal is always to bring that understanding into the present — connecting formative experiences to current thoughts, emotions, and patterns which are showing up in your life right now, so you can start to see them, and shift them.
